What is the first thing a House of Silk woman/man feels when they wake up in the morning?

A feeling of having a day of their own. For me, the best part of the morning is that when you open your eyes, the first thing that comes to mind isn't a 'to-do list,' but your own comfort. That little privilege actually sets the tone for the rest of the day.

What detail seals the sense of 'effortless elegance' in your designs?

That elegance doesn't come from a single detail or fabric; it comes from timelessness. From being able to wear a piece for years and transform it into a different style each time with your own touch. The same piece looks simple on one person and bold on another — what we call effortless elegance is the product giving space to your style; it doesn't confine you to a mold.

How did you transform the rich heritage of silk into such a modern and 'youthful' form?

Silk is a very special fabric — its value in special moments is undeniable. But we didn't confine it only to those moments; we made it a part of the daily routine. Because silk is also a healthy fabric that is good for the skin and keeps you comfortable all day long. By breaking the perception that it's "only for special occasions," the rich heritage of silk and a youthful, modern use could coexist simultaneously.

Which art movements/directors inspire you when building your visual world?

I don't draw inspiration from a single movement. My inspiration comes more from stories I encounter on a corner of a city: a genre of music, a cuisine, a light. Living abroad and encountering a different "understanding of the universe" on every street shaped my visual language. That cinematic feel in Feed comes from this – we're trying to tell a story not about a product, but about a moment and its silence.

What is the indispensable criterion that makes you say, "This is a true House of Silk piece"?

That it reflects the person while simultaneously making them feel confident and comfortable.

What did you rely on most in creating this break in perception?

The idea that the care you show yourself isn't limited to moments when you're seen. A person can carry the value they place on themselves to every aspect of their life, even to the most ordinary and personal moments. Feeling good even when no one is watching isn't a luxury; it's part of self-respect. That's what I relied on most: that care and self-confidence are for oneself, not for the "outside world."

Is House of Silk a clothing brand or an 'art de vivre' manifesto? In what areas will we see it in the future?

For us, House of Silk is more than a clothing brand; it's a way of life — a space for free self-expression. Today, in addition to lingerie and loungewear, we've expanded into home accessories, bridal wear, and beachwear. I see the future along these lines: growing to encompass every area where people freely express themselves, without being confined to a single category.

Satin or silk? Which feels more 'home'?

Frankly, the feeling of "home" is independent of the fabric — anything where you feel happy, comfortable, and like yourself is "home"; regardless of the material, what matters is that feeling that makes you who you are. But if you ask my personal preference, I'd choose silk; both for its function and the feeling it evokes.

Right now, Chameleon — RUBII. Lately, my business travels have been frequent, so we created a playlist on Spotify called "On the Road"; that's our latest playlist, and this song keeps playing in it.

For House of Silk, is luxury about a flawless appearance, or is it the feeling of intimacy and freedom created by that first touch on your skin?

The word "flawless" is actually the complete opposite of what we're trying to convey; because flawlessness always centers on the gaze of others. For us, luxury is being yourself and expressing yourself freely. More than privacy, it's about feeling free and special — being valuable in your own eyes, not in the eyes of others.
